Unrelated to the article, but...

I'm not a huge fan of adblocking, but the entire top 1/2 of my screen on Kotaku on Desktop is an autoplaying anchored video ad, with a simultaneously autoplaying video on the bottom-right PIP style.

There is no way to effectively read this article without using a third party service / viewer.

Companies cannot complain about adblocking if this is the experience they provide.

I am a huge fan of adblocking, and didn't see whatever ad you mentioned :P

I sometimes whitelist sites that I care about who also advertise responsibly. It's a very short whitelist.
