Of course, I feel a bit sorry for the folks who will have to add a Matrix account to their list of accounts to check, but I'm really happy to see KDE embracing fully FOSS communications platforms.

i suppose kde matrix has SSO so you can use your existing kde account so there would actually be one less account to check. That coupled with the fact that you can use your existing matrix account to federate with kde.org instance, its a win-win i suppose.
