The community-building/maintaining aspect of religion is actually appealing to me, as a non-believer. It has the potential to be very pro-social (when it realizes that you have to attract people now, not via religious fiat) at a time when everything else is just a trainwreck, societally-speaking

Thank you. My church has a food store for those in need and debt counselling for those in financial troubles. We have homework clubs and a youthclub. We also have a type of youthclub for adults. I am going on a 16km hike with a group of men from church on Swturday. I have friends and connections from every walk of life. We are a community. A community for which I am very grateful.
