I tend to agree that businesses should be withholding their money because of the persistent homelessness, but Marc Benioff’s “why” is a little bit off. It isn’t (shouldn’t be) the impact on conference attendees that matters, it’s the negligence and dereliction of duty the officials continue to exhibit. San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and others are failing to provide relief to their homeless populations, and the elected “leaders” are complicit in all that brings.

You don't think conference organizers should consider the environment they are hosting in? Everything must be a political message?
I think CEOs should be looking further down the road and at systemic problems, as well as reacting tactically. Of course the experience of the attendees matters. I have unreasonably high expectations of executive leadership at large companies I guess?

Do you? What can you do if they don't keep up with your expectations? For me it seems like a peasant siding with a "executive leadership" without a real reason.
