Cavendish bananas. Lady fingers, sugar bananas and other varietal aren't going away. All Cavendish are clones. We had this before with Gros Michel.
This is a glacial disaster. At some point someone will find a fix or an alternative.
They are terrible anyway. Good ridance.
Iirc this has already been solved by an experimental GMO.
