Oh the irony. iMessage is free for Apple users and android users have to pay $2/month to get blue bubbles on Apple devices, sparing Apple users the eyestrain of white text on bright green background.

I have offered friends older Apple gear (iOS 12.1 required, or 10.14 Mojave on Mac) so that they can group FaceTime, and not have to use zoom. Now, that's reuse rather than recycling.
