Back when "hacked" meant "pranked" with no real harm done and everyone could just laugh about it.

Wow, I don't remember this at all. It seems (according to WikiPedia) that the email password was revealed in the studio on a hot mic. Someone in the green room revealed this to an external party, "Oz and Yug".
