Some of the attackers on 10/7 were workers in Israel who would commute back and forth; their knowledge of the terrain was important in the attacks. So maybe the reason is, not to impoverish Palestinians, but a justified concern about security.

actually it's actually. abuse of law does happens (will be publicized in news), but government tries to keep tabs on it and there are NGOs providing legal aid.

any aspect of law in Israel (and I guess in any given country) could be managed better. it doesn't make laws "nominal"

I think that compliance with the laws were deemed "nominal", not the laws themselves. In the sense, companies comply with the letter of the law instead of with the spirit of the law.

Trade unions in India are paper tigers, and have no influence on those who want to go to the Middle East for labor jobs. The genuine question: are conditions for Indian labor going to be worse in Israel than in the Arab countries?

Indians are also hired by companies like Google to move to and work in the US. Would you also describe that as Google wanting to hire labourers from a distant country than hiring canadians to further impoverish them?

I mean, look at a map. Palestine isn't even the only country bordering Israel. What exactly compels you to portray hiring a candidate as refusing to hire some other hypothetical candidate?
