Now that Palworld has had huge commercial success, maybe nintendo will think twice before bullying them around like they do with those who can't defend themselves. At least that's my hope

I don’t know enough about Japan’s legal system. Both companies are based there
If you don't police or enforce your trademark, you can loose it

What you do is just FUD at this point, some actors want a easy piece of the Nintendo cake

Valve just recently did the same, yet I don't hear people complaining

I have mixed feelings about it. While I'm not opposed to Nintendo a known ligation bully getting a bloody nose. I also think back and probably 95% of the game companies I liked have shut their doors except Nintendo. Seems like the games business is rather tough to stick it out long term. Not only are they still out their making their IP content but also keeping the quality up. Its a pretty rare thing and I don't think the world would be a better place if Nintendo went out of business. They are pretty much the only company making video game content that is accessible and enjoyable across all ages groups. Not only that but they are the only company I can think of (I'm sure there are a couple others) that has resisted the overall pressure to succumb to sex and violence content to make more money. (mostly)

I mean look at palworld its basically pokemon with violence.

No I don't count Disney as wholesome content creators.

No one needs Nintendo to go out of business. We need them to stay in their lane.
Thats what I said. I'm also just waxing on how hard the business is. If there are 1000 pokemon clones available it does whether you want to admit it or not dilute the value of their IP franchise.

If there is pokemon at $50 and mokemon at $20 lots of parents that spend for their kids are just going to pick the cheaper option.

Nintendo as I was saying, has made strong commitments to maintaining the quality and accessibility of their products. In a business this competitive I and you don't really know where the appropriate line is from litigation bully to just staying in business as far as law goes.

"Litigation bullying" should be seen as anticompetitive and abuse of the court system, and should be punished with fines for such.

Nintendo is still free to pursue normal marketing avenues, emphasizing the quality and value of their offerings, just like any company does in a free market. They are not entitled to any value, outside of what is set out in copyright and trademark law.
