Firebase hiring full-stack engineer as employee #3. Help build the real-time web

We're building the world's first real-time Backend-as-a-Service. We launched one month ago, and we've just closed $1.4M in seed funding from Greylock, NEA, Flybridge, and prominent angels.

Now we're looking for the right top-notch dev to help us build the guts of our real-time infrastructure. You'll be our third employee, and you'll have a chance to have a serious impact on the product and culture of Firebase.

Requirements:

-Enthusiasm and willingness to work hard

-Good communication skills / ability to work as part of a team

-Strong algorithm design skills

-Experience with web technologies, networking, and big data solutions.

Nice-to-haves:

-Experience building large, distributed systems.

-Experience with real-time web technologies

-Intimate knowledge of the TCP stack.

-Experience with Javascript or Scala

-Operations / System Administration experience

-A portfolio of web or mobile apps you can show us.
