Given that I've worked in consulting for years I've seen a good amount of soulless corporate types, but they're usually not that far from the average human being in most respects.
Your understanding of the world isn't workable when you think tens of thousands of people are acting as unhinged mass murderers and society just accepts it.
Society doesn't really accept it. Most normal people have a strong distaste for your average corpo, it's just that the corporate types are also the ones with the power and resources to fuck over everyone else, and will often use their positions to do exactly that, as can be seen with any case of union busting ever, or all the mass layoffs, or the conditions in Amazon warehouses and so many other similar situations.
