It looks like wood out in the elements. Wouldn't it have rotted to dust after a few decades?
Not in a dry climate. Check out Desert Drifter on YouTube. He routinely finds Native American clash and wood structures (including ladders) abandoned in the desert that are hundreds of years old.

Speaking of ladders, about 2020 I recycled the last 2' of a 30' aluminum sliding ladder after the rest of it melted into nothingness when a forest fire burned the very large shed the ladder was stored in. There wasn't much left but a hole in the ground.
