Back in 2000 and for a few years after a graphic designer friend of mine and I used a couple of sets of magnetic car door logos we designed and printed for a fake courier company that we'd slap on the sides of our cars along with lookalike but not counterfeit city parking permits to display on our dashboards. It was a great way to park in a loading zone for a couple of hours on a busy Sunday morning while we enjoyed our brunch. We probably did it more than a hundred times and never once got so much as a warning, let alone a ticket or a tow.
As has been described by many social engineers all you have to do is look even a little the part and confidently act like you're supposed to be there. If you can manage that, 99% of people won't give you a second thought.
Love it. I suspect there are a fair few such vans parked around London by both sides of the law enforcement and the spying crowds.
