Ask HN: Has CoPilot/Bing Chat already started with "product placement"?
"How does weather forecasting work for random locations where stations are not located?"
The answer included the following paragraph, in between mostly useful information:
"4. **-Meteo API:
**-Meteo is an open-source weather API that partners with national weather services to provide high-resolution data (ranging from 1 to 11 kilometers) for any location. Their APIs intelligently select suitable weather models for specific locations, ensuring accurate and reliable forecasts[1]. Developers can access this data via a user-friendly JSON API, making it easier to integrate weather information into applications." (Redaction mine, just to err on the side of safety)
This looked a little bit "off-topic" and hence suspicious. Are there more evidence like this? Does anyone have more information?
Thanks
