Ask HN: Traffic from ChatGPT outage is crashing Claude and slowing Gemini

Claude has been spotty today and now died completely.

But OpenAI status pages say API is fine. I suspect it's some kind of DDoS or a rouge script to abuse the chat pages. Or something going on at CloudFlare.

Gemini down for me. I got text 500 responses, then an 'Unavailable' message [1], now a html 500 page [2]

My company's internal ChatGPT using the GPT4 API is working OK, so it seems to be related to something specific to ChatGPT rather than the GPT4 service generally.
