So "Great powers come with great privacy", but "some" tasks run on their "Private Cloud". That's very bold of them; I would argue that is worse than Recall; at least with Recall you can enable/disable the thing (for now) and you know it runs locally on the NPU only.

The hand wavy approach of "some" tasks running on the "private" cloud feel very "Trust me bro"; unless they have a global, verifiable checkbox that completely disables off-device capabilities this is a privacy disaster.
