I find the idea of embodied, conscious ai "replacing" us, like they are our children, not that objectionable. AIs being conscious is of course a hypothetical and we seem quite far off that happening, if at all possible. If it does happen and they have all the traits we seek in humans, I can see more and more people choosing to have a robot as a child as they presumably can never die of disease etc.
