"Every time I see it, it nags at me. I know I need to let it go."

The author also notes how important it is to practice letting go over time, proving to oneself that it can be done and that it has benefits. In my case, I've been "Kondo-ing" for nearly fifteen years. I'm healthier for it- more mental space to focus on what really matters to me instead of being distracted by all my stuff kept for "someday" (which never comes, per John Fogerty).

Early on I'd sell stuff, but now when I realize it's time to let go of X thing I just give it away. I appreciate thrift stores so much for how easy they make this process.
