If you were a flesh-and-blood human, working in a 1890's-era factory with plenty of steam-and-steel machinery, and a long history of workers being injured / maimed / killed by those things - then how would you judge a new & unfamiliar type of machine?

The same logic applies between cyclist and robocars.
