The FCC ruled over land-line communication companies and systems and everyone seemed fine with that. Well, not Bell; I imagine they were displeased with it.
Arguably, Internet service is even more important than the old land-lines were. And yet, many people think it shouldn't be classified as a utility? Boggles the mind. The only thing I can think of is that Ma Bell learned their lesson in the 70s, and started playing the long game with regards to lobbying.
And it looks like the 6th Circuit did grant a temporary stay on Net Neutrality.
