One of the main problems I have with Apple is that their entire approach to privacy seems to be much more of a how can we fuck with our competitors rather than a serious attempt at what they claim.

Just lots of very convenient positions they have landed on over the years but whenever that context doesn’t apply suddenly they seem to go back to doing things like this or helping China identify and arrest political dissidents for example.
