As a resident, while I'm happy that Waymo and self-driving is a really positive differentiator for San Francisco, I feel like we could be doing even more to re-energize the city. It would be great to see initiatives from City Hall or Sacramento about making SF or the Bay Area a 'special economic zone'. If we've done it for self-driving, which is already a pretty bold bet (by US standards), why not go further?
