The only thing that makes me nervous about passkeys is the idea that I'd be forced to use them. I find them very inconvenient and a hassle. However, I also see how they are an improvement for most people and I applaud having that option.

This is good. My fear, though, is that there will come a day when using passwords will no longer be an option.

I would think they would still need passwords no matter what. I mean I have a PC and multiple people use it. I don't want a separate account for each user as we often use the same resources on the PC like my steam account and my kids and I playing games together but not always with each other. But I don't want them having access to all my accounts just because I have logged into my user account on the PC. Also I don't want it on my phone either it assumes that you and only you have access to the phone log in credentials. Many times I have just told my gf the password so she could go onto my phone for whatever reason. That does not mean I would want that same gf to have complete access to my bank accounts as we all know relationships can end and in some situations they end up people doing bad things towards each other. So I just do not want a passkey world I would much rather have passwords which I store in my head not on device.
