Side note, I will continue to hate how HN auto edits titles. It really changes the meaning sometimes and is a completely worthless function.
+1, if we must constantly teach people how to contend with it... dubious at best. It's not as important as the one who made it feels, IMO

On the whole it could be effectively replaced with existing moderation. Anything sufficiently significant and out of line would be flagged or fixed.

We end up with threads about silly titles either way, I posit the "helper" hurts more than it intends

When I submitted the article, I used its full title "Why You Should Read This Out Loud" and HN botched the surgery.
Oh I know, it's some dumb function of HN, not the submitters. It's a total hackjob mess of a "feature" and should be removed.
