To whomever posted this, this is awesome, and why I come to HN. This article speaks to the relationship between Corona and Silicon Valley. The names mentioned where the satellites were built and controlled from will be familiar to anyone in the valley: Sunnyvale Lockheed-Martin, Stanford Page Mill, and Onizuka Air force base in Sunnyvale.
