I think Quick Look was introduced in 10.5. Offhand, can't think of new features since then that I care about. That was almost 18 years ago!

If I thought harder or looked at release notes, I might find something else that I care about in newer versions but nothing seems to have left much of an impression.

Perhaps. My favorite was 10.8. At any rate, OSX jumped the shark long ago IMO
