Seeking Collaborators to Revive a Neglected Programming Forum

by 01-_-·1y ago·2 comments·view on hn ↗
Hi HN,

A few years ago, I built a small forum focused on programming and technology <https://chat-to.dev>. It started with a lot of enthusiasm, but over time, it’s become neglected. I’m practically the only one posting content, and I often find myself mentally blocked when trying to come up with fresh, relevant topics for the few active users who remain.

I know it’s challenging to convince people to leave the platforms they’re used to (Reddit, HN, etc.) and migrate to something smaller and less established. However, I believe my forum has unique features that could make it a valuable space for meaningful discussions and knowledge sharing.

I’m reaching out to see if there’s anyone here who’d be interested in collaborating—whether by posting content, suggesting improvements, or even just sharing feedback. I’m open to all criticisms and suggestions, whether it’s about the forum’s design, features, or content strategy.

If you’ve ever thought about contributing to a smaller, community-driven platform, this could be a great opportunity. Let’s see if we can breathe new life into this project together.

Thanks for reading, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!

My thoughts are that you ( https://news.ycombinator.com/user?id=01-_- ) are the same user as https://news.ycombinator.com/user?id=cannibalXxx and that you are evading the ban to your account and your site that you linked above and the *couch related one. Possibly also the same user as https://news.ycombinator.com/user?id=gorpo85, https://news.ycombinator.com/user?id=saturn85, and https://news.ycombinator.com/user?id=hidden24.

My other thougts are that you should probably stop self-promoting on HN in violation of the guidelines and that @dang will notice your submissions soon.

my opinion is that this post doesn't have any self promotion and neither does this account have any of the things you mentioned above. if it did have self promotion i believe i would have been banned by now.
