Yes probably "only" single digit billions. In a surprisingly similar way to Boeing and their space capsules and Air Force One, SpaceX has spent almost all the moon lander money to blow up more Starships. Elon isn't making anything the government can buy for high numbers of billions.

exzacly musk is providing one of a kind services to the US government at prices far lower than any competitor and that puts him in an unassailable possition he has been in deap with the military for a long time, and now even deaper with the white house. He also has more than a few very large plays he can make, at any time, so anyone shorting him, could be looking at a hair cut, or worse. this is not to say that I am condoning or approving or seeking to gain, I loath the whole thing, but mark him where he is, and accept that he didn't "cheat" watch, trump will stage a big thank you, as musk writes out the single largest check for taxes in history.,..,.something ,something..."if only every body would do there duty like mr.musk" ......and anybody yelling at musk, might just have there taxes,audited
