The one issue I have with using Keychain as the primary password manager is that I lose all my passwords when I cross over to Windows or Ubuntu.

Indeed, that's what I like about 1password - with their web interface you can practically access your passwords from everywhere - and hopefully there will be a ubuntu version soon.
I use 1Password's "Anywhere" feature to host my passwords over a VPS. All you need is a browser (on any OS) at that point. There's also ways to do it over Dropbox: http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/1passwordanywhere.html
