Inheritance and estate planning are difficult things to manage. I think people should talk to their kids / people who will / will not inherit about it while they're alive if at all possible. It's not easy, but it should not be a surprise after a loss.

The last act of these people's lives to those who they care about is something like that? This system where people only find out later seems barbaric.
