There are things we think we know - we all think we know SQL.

There are things we know we don’t know - those who realize they don’t know SQL know they need to learn it.

And then, there are things we must assume everyone knows - every vendor knows they must support some SQL-like query language.

That, right there, is the network effect.

The author is like, "OMG, so many tables everywhere, jeez!" Uh, yeah bud, you new here?
I definitely don't agree. SQL is great.
