How do you move the frontline when Ukraine was prepping up for this since 2014 - miles of reinforced trenches, open flat lands - this is not US in Iraq! And Ukraine amasses tens of thousands of soldiers. All this is moving slowly because Russia doesn't want casualties on its side that it's doing this very carefully. This is turned into a war of attrition and Russia is draining the whole West and it's well planned since their initial mistakes. Well, initially they wanted just a coup d'etat and stop the anti-Russia rhetoric and the talks about NATO and nukes, but they underestimated 8+ years of propaganda and brainwashing. But then it turned into a drain for the West, and it's been working. Worst of all for the US and the West, Russia, China, and North Korea are now united - before the war China was not so close to Russia, but now it is. Is this what the West really wanted? I highly doubt it as it's not beneficial to it!

All that may be true, but the frontline hasn't shifted. That's the crux, so Russia aren't winning, whereas Ukraine just has to survive to win. Extrapolate the rate of progress and it's decades not years until Russia conquers the rest of Ukraine, assuming nothing happens in the meantime. Which it will.
