It’s like saying a man with a car beat everyone in a horse race. If something is specifically designed for a task, it will always outperform the rest.
I bet it would still be interesting if it was the first car that had ever been made reliable enough to finish a half-marathon.
I'm sure the humans would have done better, if there were allowed unlimited swaps as well. You can do amazing things with an unlimited energy budget.
The major innovation in this years winner was being able to do battery swaps without needing a 3 minute robot reboot.
