What he says is totally moot.
The IDF uses dogs to rape Palestinians it arbitrarily arrests and keep in concentration torture camps.
Palestinian property and human rights are not respected, and there's no meaningful recourse for when an Israeli commits a criminal act against a Palestinian. The IDF protects settlers terrorizing Palestinians and destroying their property.
Different color IDs and vehicle number plates, arbitrary checkpoints, and massive, arbitrary walls enforces apartheid discrimination and subjugation.
Palestinians can't even fly to any other country without Israel's approval.
Until most of Israeli law, government, and people treat Palestinians fairly and as real human beings, nothing will ever change.
He's right. The settler issue is a thorn in the side of peace. If Israeli society can't get a handle on its extremist provocateur elements then they doom themselves (and the Palestinians) to a violent and uncertain future.
I really hope Israel will return to the rule of law and will curb the extremists. Same goes for the USA.
That's the goal; to spark another war that lets them pull a Gaza on the West Bank.
Hamas really fucked up giving Israel the cover it needs to implement its final solution in the West Bank. Oct 7th completely killed any hope for a sovereign Palestinian state, and in all likelihood killed any chance for a bright future for Palestinian nationalism even as part of Israel’s security system.
More genocide?
The acceptable rate of genocide is calibrated to be slow enough to boil the frog below the threshold of international outrage while fast enough to achieve depopulation. So nuclear weapons and strategic carpet-bombing with Mk. 84's are out, but seemingly random AI target selection that conceals systematic destruction of most/all structures in an area masked by apparent noise is okay.
