of course Samsung will blame it on the focus on AI and other nonsense instead of admitting they are unable to compete with domestic Chinese brands and are losing hard ever since they the applied double standards to Chinese consumers which rewarded them with stop buying their phones and they hold since then basically zero smartphone market share, I remember this scandal back then, it was pretty huge in China

"Samsung has faced accusations of applying double standards in China, particularly regarding the 2016 Galaxy Note 7 recall, where it initially excluded China from a global replacement program. This incident, along with reported labor issues and internal structural disadvantages for local employees, has damaged its reputation, causing market share to drop below 1%."

Here in Brazil I think TCL is almost surpassing Samsung in TV sales. In Argentina it's already the leader. They sell Mini LED TVs, etc, way cheaper than Samsung ones... It's just better quality for the price. And entry level Samsung ones are cheaper quality. Samsung TU8000 in Brazil has factory issue, and they always refused to do recall.

Although in a few sectors like washing machine, I think they are growing here.

ACs they were one of the biggest for sure, with good pricing, but now, again, there's hisense, TCL, all cheaper...
