You use the scroll wheel with your index finger? I've always used the middle finger. I dunno if the biomechanics are that different, but I've never had a problem.

From the videos, the rotary motion with the index finger looks tiring. Fingers don't really move side-to-side very well. But I supposed I'd have to try it to know for sure.
