Everyone will have to learn from Chinese how to get through internet firewalls. They have accumulated 20 years of experience in this :)
cheap 1USD VPN (via open source Hiddify on Android/Win) was all I needed last summer, I bought as backup more expensive 4-5$, both worked same
the problem is what to do when they implement this at OS level or most countries with VPN IP addresses
Open operating systems on PC should not be a problem for a long time. Mobile operating systems, even Chinese Android phones (with many modifications, such as "anti-fraud system" which is actually a monitoring & backdoors, with no BL unlock), have not disabled VPN functions either.
As long as this is still a globalized world, there should be no need to worry.
Nothing Proton VPN can't solve
Anti free speech and anti democracy
Hardly. No one is preventing under 16's from talking, nor denying them their mandate to vote once they reach the age of 18.
There are actual arguments, better ones, against the Australian Governments course of action here, but neither of these really cuts it.
> Mr Albanese said as part of increased efforts to enforce the social media ban, his government would proceed with digital duty of care legislation which would hold platforms accountable for foreseeable harms caused by content and algorithms.

"Please censor according to extremely vague guidelines, or we will ruin you."
Just another day in protecting Our Democracy™.
