If the US really wants the strait open, instead of merely wanting to look like they want the strait open while enjoying the opportunity to take the GCC's LNG market share as the likes of repeated Mario Nawfal guest Chris Martenson allege, why not force a coalition to supply enough missile assets to give the US the capacity to make credible unilateral threats?
Because they can’t. They can’t get the coalition even though they tried, and the straight is too narrow to be able to actually ensure safe passage.
Trump didnt speak to anyone before going pants down into Iran. He didnt ever try to talk people into "In and out, 20-minute adventure" after the fact, just blackmailed and threw fits.
Oman and the UAE could as well.
