Hello, I am an individual working on various projects especially on self-funded UBI practical solutions, I live in USA and am employed in tech. I was impressed by your writing and mission and am reaching out to see if you want to move toward an implementation of a pilot or study. We can meet online and use frontier AI tools to make a plan. My pilot involves testing the UBI funding scheme that I have planned, as I see the source-of-funds question as the biggest gap in UBI schemes; taking the gov out of the equation is something that technology could do. I am willing to fund the experiment but I would like someone to partner with me as I don't really have time to implement my ideas and I haven't thought about all the tradeoffs either, I just have a process that could work, and has already worked in special circumstances as per my tests. Please do reach out thru email, as your comment was marked, hence I cannot reply to comments and must start a new top-level comment.
Hello, I am posting another reply here as my previous one was marked. I am looking forward to communication with you via email and via real working sessions, as we have different specialties but the same vision, I see you as a viable co-founder for my project.
Setting aside concerns about observed outcomes from various basic income experiments; https://hn.algolia.com/?q=basic+income ,

So they're like expiring options contracts?

Which existing distributed ledger technology DLT are sufficient to host expiring options contracts for basic income?

If there was a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency), how would basic income and/or old age and disability social welfare (US: SNAP benefits, SSOADI) be distributed?

No worries. Here's this:

> Review the Interledger spec, then develop time-limited options contracts for basic income on Interledger. Consider WebMonetization for how to implement Interledger. https://interledger.org/developers/rfcs/interledger-protocol...

And then KYC and AML and grant accountability, so how to allow-list according to a merchant category etc but be Zero Trust without DNS?

I would like to collaborate with you on this, I want to do a pilot like the one you described, I will be happy to enable you with paid AI tools. Your story is touching. See my profile.
Hello again, 1) Problem solving is my value; I approach the problem from a technical and scientific perspective; I value creating new systems that help people and can scale (without depending on politics). I want to eliminate poverty for desperate people, and to enable people to have hope and purpose in life. My vision is to provide a minimum standard of living for people living in third world outsourcing/freelancing hubs who desperately use the internet to get remote jobs rather than (for example) working outdoors with a shovel doing subsistence farming. Starting from this motivated group of people, the program could expand towards your vision of providing help to unmotivated people. I am trying to implement systems for UBI on the technical side, I do have experience with implmeneting these systems, I don't want my knowledge to be lost or to stay with me, I want to expand my vision and to make UBI realistic, not just a theory paper. I want to adapat the system with practice and learnings. I want to grow the scope of problems that can be addressed by UBI but it's all theoretical unless there is a funding mechanism.

2) This link (below) is broken so I can't really analyze the full scope of your ideas; could you make this a public document please? I think the key difference is time-expiry and the philosophy behind it. I did read your other English docs. For me, UBI is a government welfare program; in contrast, my idea involves people like you and me establishing charitable institutions, self-defense and barter systems, like a neo-Hawala, that would help people directly while bypassing the government. Creating a movement/organization means taking risks in the real world because we recognize the moral imperative and we won't wait for the government's "comprehensive administrative reforms" to create a grassroots movement that can help people. 3) The government is not moving fast enough, the welfare system doesn't automatically distribute things and political change often requires a crisis, but technology could do it immediately, the government could get involved later but since we are not the government, we can't really make the government run a pilot right now or even to influence a politician. Some NGOs do eventually get absorbed into government, this NGO would not need to receive funding but would output funding, just like a public benefit corporation that pursues a social mission does today.

Thank you.

TLBIC (Time-Limited Local Basic Income Credit) is a proposed basic income system with three core mechanisms: it expires after a few months to prevent hoarding; it requires no application (support is automatically delivered before a person needs to ask); and it is restricted to the local economy and non‑speculative use. Its purpose is structural—to reduce the despair that comes from feeling there is no way out. This is one attempt to address the systemic despair that contributes to Japan’s tragic loss of over 20,000 lives to suicide each year.

I would be grateful for feedback from this community.

I’ve run into the second major hurdle with the free version of the AI: simply having it carefully read the TLBIC Policy Proposal v7.0 text file caused it to reach its limit, making it impossible to even ask questions. Furthermore, even when I did ask questions, the AI’s responses skimmed the surface without actually answering them, instead merely praising the proposal.

I fully recognize that I am consuming significant computational resources at no cost, and I take responsibility for the burden this places on AI providers. Due to family circumstances, I cannot currently subscribe to paid plans, but I remain deeply grateful that these free‑tier services have made long‑term collaborative research possible.

Because of these constraints, I decided to restructure the proposal into three parts:

(1) Main Document

(2) Appendix: “Examining Bottom-Up Governance”

(3) Supplement: “Why I Wrote the TLBIC Policy Proposal”

Now that the main body of v8.0 is complete, I’d like to share it here.

I am not a policy expert or an economist. I previously worked in a factory, and the loss of a colleague to suicide has remained a central motivation for this work. The proposal was developed almost entirely through long-term dialogue with multiple AI systems (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and DeepL). I cannot fully verify how much nuance is preserved in languages I cannot read, so if anything feels unclear or unnatural, I would appreciate hearing it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
