Good on them. The US trying to export it's own expertise in undermining confidence in the electoral / democratic process is one of the worst things it could do, amongst a litany of bad things it's currently doing.
I would agree with that... Were it not for the fact Brazil uses voting machines.
Yeah, I wasn't sure about even commenting since I know nothing of Brazil's voting or electoral systems, but I do know that if the US is trying to intervene then it is most definitely not with the intention of making anything better, more fair, or more democratic.
No doubt. During Biden's presidential term, they told our president Bolsonaro to stop questioning the voting machines. Now Trump's administration is criticizing those exact same voting machines. There's no doubt that it's all politically motivated.

Having some CIA dude tell my country's president not to question the machines pretty much convinced me they were compromised though.

According to the Economist Democracy Index, Brazil is a more democratic country than the USA.

USA 0.70 Brazil 0.74

Perhaps of more relevance here is that Brazil scores more highly than the USA on measures of electoral freedom (https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/electoral-democracy-index):

USA 0.73 Brazil 0.78

Overall, the point I am trying to make is that both Brazil and the USA are flawed democracies with identifiable deficiencies. Brazil has come a long way adopting a democratic constitution in the 1980s. Meanwhile, the USA has become corrupt and ungovernable.

The USA cannot pretend to embody perfection in democratic ideals and has no standing to pontificate on the finer points of electoral policy.

The purpose of the visit was likely to undermine confidence in the electoral process and encourage further authoritarian Bolsonarismo tactics.
