Here is pg today.

“Duke University library system dropped Basecamp because the founders weren't sufficiently PC.”

3 years after, nothing from their sides has changed, and it's worse than before.
> Referring to the protests that followed the murder of George Floyd as “riots” is an offhand gesture as Hansson uses it

The problem there is the Hansson words quoted do not show any reference to protests.

The ideological honesty here must be appreciated whatever are one's beliefs with DEI [1] - in that DHH is losing business, but his conviction is strong that he is on the right side of history. This kind of conviction is difficult to find among corporate drones pushing DIE.

[1] Which are contextual of course; DIE in, say, Spain is not the same as doing so in the US. Not that HR drones would care.

>in that DHH is losing business

Hey and Basecamp usage has skyrocketed since 2023.

That makes it even more interesting. There are now two possibilities.

1. Most business leaders have quietly turned "anti-woke" because of the performative and loud rhetoric, and DHH considered this before publicly airing his position.

2. Most businesses don't give a F.
