Remember what I previously said--Obama will someday attack Iran in order to show how tough he is.

• Donald J. Trump & @realDonaldTrump

The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East.

Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.. 8:14 AM • 10/9/19

What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval. 3:14 PM - 29 Aug 2013

Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly-not skilled! 9:55 PM - 11/10/13

Now that Obama's poll numbers are in tailspin - watch for him to launch a strike in Libya or Iran. He is desperate. 5:39 PM • 10/9/12

• Trump's Best Foreign Policy? Not Starting Any Wars

He has my support in 2024 because I know he won't recklessly send Americans to fight overseas. By J.D. Vance Jan. 31. 2023 at 2:21 pm ET

It’s time for US to get out of the Middle East, period.
that will happen… exactly never. The empire of the United States will collapse before that happens (which will happen as all empires fall and we are not different)
I don't see how it can not happen at this point. Iran won the war and has shown everyone that the US can't even protect itself in the region let alone the Gulf states.

The bases, radar installations, supply depots, airfields, and so on, that took decades and untold trillions to build are all gone now, and US forces have been pushed back all the way to Jordan already. The satellite data shows the scale of the destruction pretty clearly.

There's no coming back from this. The US is basically blind now without all the early detection systems, and missile inventories are largely empty too. On top of that, the US can't even produce rare earths or magnets on its own.

Without that, you can't even build a lot of these advanced weapons. Meanwhile, AP reports that nearly 700 U.S. service members have been wounded by drone and missile attacks on bases in the Middle East and other fighting. Given that the Pentagon is covering real numbers up, the reality is likely far worse.

This is a total military defeat for the US, and on top of that there are Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb closures which are disrupting global energy markets. The US has been trying to stabilize oil prices by releasing the reserves, but those are starting to run dry.

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/08/10/oil-in-strategic-petroleum-r...

An economic crash is a very likely scenario once it's no longer possible to release reserve to push oil prices down. At that point, it's simply not gonna be possible to keep a presence in the Gulf.

You were warned they'd do this. They did it. Maybe don't elect them if you don't want the outcome.
Human error. One of our teams deployed a bug to prod. The methods in place to remediate the bug are not sufficient, and we have to wait until next release to get it patched. Unless the bug is actually malware, in which case we can only hope the malware doesn’t overwrite the SOP for next release and stay in the system somehow. We are having troubles getting all teams in agreement due to poor architecture of the system. We have to do a rewrite of some major components if we want to prevent the issue in the future. Starting to feel like a lost cause though, as we can’t seem to come to an agreement on what the standards should be in any area. Unfortunately this is a system that does handle lives, and we simply do not have enough properly experienced and educated people to work on these issues with the budget to fight the existing system. Expect more lives to be lost and time-delayed problems in the future.
Trust people who know what they're doing and hire competent people.
