Compilers are not quite up to the task, I think. I think those performance ratings are unfair in comparison to true potential between those CPUs. I think the latter is 2-3x faster given optimal instruction stream in compute heavy workloads. Branchy or code with random memory access patterns is likely to have nearly no performance gain.
