This is similar to the telco model where they charge texts and phone calls. Charging for communication is really the only way I see Facebook ever hitting its IPO valuation. This example is a bit ext…

I'm in a similar boat. I've had every iPhone except for the 5 since the first one (Yes i got bit by the 62 day $200 price drop) and I'm very impressed with the speed and quality of the Lumia 920. My …

Yeah I totally agree. Separation of duties and rotation of duties is actually a pretty important security measure that should be employed at any company. When there is one person that does/knows it a…

I didn't realize there was so much contention over the Svbtle theme. I was using a Tumblr version, but I just changed to something standard as I spend time to work on my own custom theme. As far as …

I listen to either ratchet music or dubstep. Probably some of the worst music to listen to, but it gets me motivated.

I think it's too late for that :). I can't even upgrade beyond 11.10 and I'm looking for alternative Linux flavors if anyone has some good suggestions. I've heard Mint is nice.

Just upgraded yesterday. DOH!

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering why the site wasn't showing up!

I wonder how this data compares to real contract projects in the Government and private sector? My hypothesis that the numbers are fairly similar because frankly; no one really knows what they are doi…

Yeah I totally agree. In two years, Ubuntu has gone from one of my favorite distros to one of my least favorite. I'm on 11.04 and I'll probably stay here until it's EOL'ed then move to Mint.

I've been following Kim since my friend showed me the kimble.org flash website back in the early 2000's. All the events in his life could be an amazing story for a movie.

Yeah, that's true. The good thing is that their API has let other companies fill that void. Although with that being said, I think Instagram is changing it's focus with recent additions like the Fac…

Q. Did you build something users need? The reason I ask this is because a lot of times, this can be overlooked. I have found myself spending time twiddling with projects that seem cool to me, then wh…

They'd probably get all of their Twitter API key's revoked for "Duplicate Functionality." The 1.1 Developer Rules of the road are pretty harsh if you're syndicating tweets.

I see you're point, but when I look at the history of promotion and communication; companies have always had to pay to advertise. From commercials, to newspaper ads to those dreaded dinner time phone…

It's a pretty smart strategy. Charge people to communicate--it should reduce spam and bring FB more revenue. One thing I'm not sure of is how effective promoted posts are. I built a website and tri…
