Blocking all updates will lead to your device getting pwned through vulnerabilities that are fixed for everyone else. The only safe alternative is to switch to a new OS, possibly a fork.

Android 7 stopped getting OS security updates in 2019. If anyone doesn't care about that and is still using it today, they probably won't care about not getting Firefox updates either.
