Meaning a 62% increase of the original investment after 10 years? Isn't that a very good deal?

Sorry for the stupid question. Does 5% mean 5% per year (over ten years), or 5% per 10 years?

Yes. That one is coming from the other direction (Latin).

It is quite interesting how many misunderstandings the two meanings of the word "free" have created for the "free" software movement and open source. Maybe time for the community t…

Framework's idea looks like a great model for corporate devices. Instead of replacing the whole laptop every X years, they can just incrementally reolace broken/outdated parts. I wish my com…

Oh. I have seen this behaviour in other programs, recently mostly in Cisco AnyConnect. I always thought this an OS glitch.

If you've seen IntelliJ, you won't have any problem calling VSCode lightweight :D

My other language of heavy use is Python. Maybe not writing a Python script from scratch, but at least I can modify a Python script in some basic editor (e.g. GitHub web UI). The same thing will be mo…

Exactly. Being lightweight is important when you are running the thing on some cheap VPS. Also the multi-lunguality, since you don't have "room" for multiple IDEs.

Doesn't it require you to have JetBrains locally installed on your machine to be able to connect?

Still waiting for VS Code to support Java 21. Java is not the language to use without an IDE.

A (maybe) disturbing question: What caste are the "famous" indians we all know in tech, e.g. CEOs of Microsoft and Google? Is it known?
